Then, with two minutes of normal time remaining Gayle whipped a fantastic long-range free-kick pastÂChris Maxwell in the Preston net for his sixth league goal of the season so far.Gayle is on loan from Newcastle after the clubs agreed a temporary swap deal in the summer, with Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondon going the other way.
